It costs over $500 a month to keep Epic Rock Radio on the air. Please head to the main page at http://www.epicrockradio.com and help Epic Rock Radio out with a donation!
I really love science fiction as a genre, and I especially love post apocalyptic and dystopian future settings. I have found a project on Kickstarter which is an attempt to write a book that combines both of these settings, which is something that I've never seen before.
If you are at all interested in such things, head over to that website ( http://kck.st/ZWbwvG ) and toss a few dollars at the project. I'd really love to see the project to get funded. The book sounds incredible.
We sort of have something like that using the request system. When songs are requested, it adds +2 to the song's rating. When a song plays, it subtracts -1 from a song's rating. Thusly, if a song plays on its own (auto DJ selection) the rating goes down by one. If a song is requested, the net result is the rating goes up by one. AT this time, though, it's only used as method of weighting what songs the auto-dj selects, the rating isn't shown to anyone.
Okay... I'll set it not to auto-start. The player will still be there, and people just need to click the little triangle shaped "Play" button on the player to make it start.
That information is tracked in the database, so I know it would be possible to code it into the site. However, Oser has been so busy as of late with other things that I'm not entirely confident that we'd be able to get anything changed any time soon, unfortunately.
That isn't actually a bug - It's designed that way on purpose. It does get you out of sync with what the main website says is playing, but it lets you pause a song that you want to hear and come back and hear it later. If you just close the player and open it again it will go back to "live" instead of buffered.
Worst lyrics I know of? Sadly, sung by one of my favorite singers of all time, Jarkko Ahola.
Dreamtale's "Secret Door" on the "Difference" album.
Beautiful bride and undaunted knight Are lying in bed, holding hands Side by side
They started their life As husband and wife And now it's time to show
How much they care for each other, How far they're willing to go?
He moved on real nice And made her come twice But then he wanted To put on some spice
Please hear me pray I want you to stay As still as you can be
[Chorus:] I gave you a taste and you want for more Let me come to your garden through your back door Is there anything sweeter in whole wide world Than ride with this magical wild horse
Oh, I'll taste you in my mouth My hunger for you makes me howl like a hound Shout, shout, shout, shout for more I insist for another round
Well, you'll hear from me, sometimes. For example:
The last Kamelot album (Poetry for the Poisoned) sucked in comparison to the rest of the albums, in my opinion. I never listen to it.
Personally, I'm glad that Roy moved on and Kamelot has Tommy instead. I think he's a more versatile singer, able to sound like Khan when he has to, and also able to do his own thing. Kamelot is a better band because of the change.
~V~ likes Kamelot. Mir, you don't. We all know this. No point in discussing it any further - Unless the reason you are doing it is to make ~V~ or myself unhappy. I certainly hope this is not your intention.
