Well, I had noticed some things... that catch my attention
1- Nils Patrik Johansson is singing with Astral Door, so... what happened to Wuthering Heights?
2- The first two albums aren't as good as the third, but they are good
3- Finally: I didn't know this but the "Far from the mading crowd" is the third part of a story that started on their first album "Within"  Shocked I'm gonna read all the lyrics to understand the stoly... LOL

1 - He's been with Astral Doors for years, and sang with Wuthering Heights as a favor to the band.  I asked him about it earlier in an email, actually, and he said that his main band is Astral Doors, but that he'll continue to sing for Wuthering Heights if they want him.

2 - You're right.

3 - Didn't know that!

YEA!!! At first I didn't know who was him  Embarrassed but after a while I did understand the name and search for it on yahoo  Cheesy. Awesome!
How did you convince him to make the sweeper... ah and another question. I heard a sweeper of someone that say "Wellcome to the epic ___, You're listening to epic rock radio" with a gammaray song on background, (I think is Shine on)... to me the guy sounds just like Hansen... tell me Kailef, tell me, is Hansen ?  Shocked
(I did noticed that long time ago, but I forgot to ask you and time passed by  Cheesy)

He says "Welcome to the Epic world - You're listening to Epic Rock Radio".  It's a sweeper that was made for us by Valandryl back when the station first launched.  So, sorry, it's not Kai.   Grin

As far as Nils... I just told him that I really liked his work, and we're gonna play Astral Doors on our station, and would he like to make a sweeper for us.  He said "yes" and emailed one to me a few days later.  Awesome, huh?

The two things I don't like about the Wuthering Heights CD.

1 - It just came out recently, so it will be quite some time before their next album.

2 - As Kailef says, their older material is nothing like Madding Crowd. ?So you can't go back and listen to the old stuff.. you can.. but not really, ya know?

Funny story - I drove across several states with some friends, and introduced them to Epic. ?The first CD they heard was Wuthering Heights. ?(It seemed appropriate to start the trip with 'The Road Goes Ever On') ?For the rest of the trip, they'd randomly say "TREE!" ? Smiley

The album is amazing, though, and were it not for the hideous distraction in the final track (going from skilled, melodic acoustic instrumental to a screaming feedback electric sound HURTS!) ?Angry ? ...I'd give the album a 10. ?Instead, I'll put it with Thy Majestie's masterpiece and say 9.5.

CREED

Bah ye of little faith. the older albums may not be as good as FFTMC but they kickass. they definately fill the gap when i sometimes overplay far from. the CD's are GREAT albums without a doubt. beside only hearing one album is like only reading one LODR book. cause it's a trilogy album.

http://www.wuthering-heights.dk/index.php?D=1 here's the WH site under construction. they've had some problems funding their own website. that's one of the reasons people should check out the previous work. i promise you won't be dissapointed.

Plus Erik answers his email. and he is an awesome guy!

too bad the page is almost abandoned... teh band kicks ass. I read on other page that they started the work for their fourth album on 2005 I hope Nils sing with them again and that the album goes far beyond (or at least as far as) "Far From The Madding Crowd".

Wow, that's far alright!!  Tongue

I didn't get to listen to alot of Wuthering Heights, but the little I have has certainly convinced me that this is an awesome band.  I'll certainly be grabbing some of their albums soon enough.

Yes!  They've got a pair of two-minute samples up and they're awesome!

Astral Doors came out with a new album a while ago, but I really think that Nils does his best work with Wuthering Heights.  Astral Doors is good, but, it's just not quite as impressive and powerful and majestic as Wuthering Heights.

Can't wait for the new album!!!!
