Epic Rock Radio is going to be featuring a new album every week.  Once an hour, a random track from our featured album will be selected and played.

This week, the featured album is New World Messiah, by Nocturnal Rites.  If you like what you hear, head over to your favorite record store or online music outlet and pick it up!

Okay, I love what I hear off this album... but go to my local record store to get it?  I only wish!  :-/  Maybe our European listeners can pull that off, but us Americans have to order through the internet!   Wink

Yeah, isn't that the truth.  While you might occasionally find a Symphony X album in the discount bin in a United States record store, the chances of finding anything else this station plays is pretty darn slim.

That Nocturnal Rites album is pretty darn good, though, isn't it?  I like it much better than their older work.

Yea! I like it, that way we can know more great bands even if we can't buy their records  :-/
Is pretty unfair for us in america that the few albums that come, are the most simple version... without bonus tracks, without DVD's... only the songs and the booklet  Tongue
But that's better than nothing...
As a interesting fact here in Honduras we are even worst 'cause there is almost no power metal and if you find it, every CD is like 20 US$... that suck 'cause you can be sure that is the simple edition (if you know what I mean)

Anyway, Long Live Power Metal!!! and as long as amazon exist... I'm happy hehe Grin

As an alternative to amazon.com, you might want to look at www.theendrecords.com ... They have a pretty good selection and the CD's are usually only $12 US dollars.  Quite inexpensive compared to Amazon.com....

well...over here the metal cds are ranged from 18 to 23? :-/

1? = 1,24$ so it's pretty expensive

hopefully, it's possible to order through the internet eheheheh

When do we get a new Featured Album of the Week?  Don't get me wrong, I like the CD very much, but since the tracks appear every hour, there's no chance to request a specific song from it..   Cheesy   No complaints, just an observation...

Why, Creed, that'd be... next week.   Wink  That's why it's the featured album of the, uh, week.

That reminds me, I haven't installed the voting module yet.  I want the listeners to vote for what album the want to be the featured album, and you can't do that very well without the voting module.

Ah, see, my WORK week is over.  The Calendar week is not.  My company's 'work week' doesn't end til tomorrow.  Are we talking a traditional calendar week, i.e. Sunday to Saturday?

BTW, what did the AMRC make you do?

What's AMRC?

And - yeah:  I'm planning on starting each new album of the week Sunday night before I go to bed, so that Monday morning it's ready to do.  Monday-Thursday is the time that most people listen, not as many on weekends and Friday night.  It's because most people listen to ERR at work.  At least, that's what I'm guessing.

I dunno, but in the Information for New World Messiah, it says 'AMRC Made Me Do It" at the bottom.  Smiley

For listening purposes, we're fairly much opposite of the standard.  (which is the norm for me anyway, heh)  I can't really listen at work during the day, but at work after 5pm (our time), or whenever I'm home after work and on weekends.. ERR is pretty much ALWAYS on.

MUCH easier than having to constantly put in new CDs.  :j  Plus, I get to hear new stuff I don't have yet, and occasionally have Persuader scream at me.   Grin

OH yeah, I remember seeing that.  I have absolutely no idea!  That information is actually pulled from an album database that isn't controlled by me.  (It's a public database)  I am mystified as to what it means.

(Persuader grows on you if you learn to live with the growling.  It's not as harsh as some, and the music itself is pretty aggressive)
