would it be possible to get a time counter for the songs? that would be really cool but i don'tknow how possible it is with radio. i think live 365 should've done it already if it would work.

Explain to me what you mean by a 'time counter'...?

As in, a counter that tells you how much time is left in each track and / or how much time has elapsed?

I don't think that's possible, unfortunately, at least not with the technology that Live365 offers....

either or, but i guess you're right, live 365 probably couldn't help.... maybe you could do it direct from theserver? there may be alittle lag but it'd be a nice hop-up and a 5 sec delay won't make a whole lot of defference. i don't know how you would go about programing it... (i don't know very much yet) but you could set the refresh rate to happen every time the song changes and have a counter resart every time the page refreshes... that way you could just look at the couter, and the length of the song, and know how far it is in. you could attach it below the now playing window. i bet a smat guy like yourself could figure it out, or maybe one of these programing brains always talking about php and whatnot could sen you the script. You don't really need one i guess, i jsut though it'd give the site alittle extra over everyone elses.

That would be cool - We'd have to find a way to get SAM (the broadcasting software package I use) to output that data somehow so that the number of seconds remaining in the song get transmitted every time you visit the page... And then write some sort of little java based timer that reads that data and displays the count in the browser window.  I could then get rid of the auto-refresh and make the page refresh only when the timer runs out.

It just might work!  Assuming there's some way to get SAM to output the track time.  I'll work on it.  No promises, though....   Grin

I figured it out!

You will all notice a nifty little timer on the main page that shows the time remaining in the current song.  It's not quite perfect - If the timer runs out before the song is actually over, it just adds a few more seconds to the timer and refreshes again.  It's pretty darn accurate, though.

Thanks for the great idea, Crazystoo.

I made a "mini" version of it, also, so that you don't have to keep this huge web page open all the time.

Edit: question tho, in the live365 player window, when it sais 'available in mp3pro' I can click it, it then takes me to te signup for preferred membership... is that required for mp3pro or sumthin?

nice work man, i'm glad to see you took my idea to heart and even made it work in the end!!!!

Unfortunatly i haven't been able to get my version of photoshop to work seeing as i no longer have the cds and it needs a re-install so i won't be sending you my ideas and of the graphics as soon as i thought. I just don't have the 850 cdn to get the new version either/ elements which is only 130 is lame and can do little more than paint, with a pretty interface and some colour options... my g/f wants to get a digicam so maybe i can convince her to get cs2 but it's looking pretty distant. we'll see.

how about stone textiles for the backgrounds of the requested and main menu objects... just an idea, but it might take up more space than it's worth and slow things down.
