I have now listened to "Among Beggars and Thieves" constantly for the last week, and in my opinion it might actually be Falconerīs best album! Itīs a bit more complex than their previous ones, with really great melodies and fast guitars...me like!

Anyone who canīt get their hands on the digipack-version with the two bonus tracks; "Dark Ages" and "Vi salde vara hemman", shouldnīt be too disappointed. Those are the weakest songs on the album.

ABAT is now on ERR.  I'm playing the entire album on the station, every song back to back, right now.  :-)

It's glorious.  You are right, I do in fact believe it's their best work to date.  And they've finally got Matthias' voice turned up, loud and clear, as it always should have been.

Well, at long last, I got my own copy of the album, and even after hearing most of the songs here on ERR, it exceeded my expectations and hopes. The ways in which the folkier elements have been blended into the metal are definitely more creative and diverse than in past Falconer efforts, and some songs have a pleasing progressive edge to them which is new to the band. Now all they need is a North American tour soon and I'll be set  Cool

One of the problems (the only problem really) with Matthias being back with the band is that in general, he's too busy to tour anywhere except short gigs close to their hometown.  :-(  We aren't too likely to see a Falconer tour here in the states any time soon, I fear.  :-(

Yes, thatīs a bit sad. Theyīre not even touring Sweden... According to Stefan Weinerhall of Falconer, they will probably only be able to play some summer festivals like Sweden Rock and Wacken Open Air (in Germany).

When Falconer played at Sweden Rock in 2007 I decided to take a course in rock climbing instead, since my employer paid half of the fee... How I regret that now  Embarrassed
