Adagio "Archangels in Black"

Without being a concept album, "Archangels In Black" evokes the band's convictions about a certain Nightside philosophy and a very
personal approach of life and death: "Darkness is a concept with many branches, often misunderstood from outside, but elemental for some kind" Stéphan says.

The song 'Vamphyri' kicks ass!!! I jut got done listening to it 3 straight times. I love the little galloping guitar part that comes thoughout the tune. Solo's are killer! Love to hear the piano parts. And the singer did a pretty good job. I don't think i like him as much as their previous two vocalists, but i guess that's unfair to say judging from only one song from a Myspace player. He sounds great though. Regardless, this album will be in my hand as soon as it's legally allowed to be. Hope you all go check it out.

This Monday Adagio will be putting their new music video on their myspace page. I have been waiting for this album for a long time now......finally it seems we're really gonna see it released.

Alright, well maybe no video.....but we do have a new song posted on their myspace page. I can't say that i like it as much as 'Vamphyri', but it's still a pretty cool track with an AWESOME last 2 minutes. I hope they have some longer songs on the new album though.....the first two songs they have revealed have each barely past the 4 minute mark. And i need me some longer tracks.

Check it out! I'd like to hear what someone else thinks of the new tracks.

Ummm, yes. Adagio are one of the finest prog/power metal crossover bands. Very dark, very heavy, yet very artful and clearly well-thought-out.

Well, this album is out now. Anybody had a chance to check it out yet? I'm more broke (talking money) than i've ever been before, otherwise you can bet that i'd have something to say about it.

I have been able to check out a couple tracks from it and they have sounded pretty good. Not gonna try to say what i think of the album until i've actually heard the whole thing. I'd love to hear what someone else thought about it though.

Not yet the whole thing. I have found it on a few other internet radio stations where i have requested random songs. Only the longer track (around 9 minutes i think) really blew me away. The rest just wasn't making me want to get online and order it. Hopefully before long i will get a chance to listen front to back.
