If a song comes up that a person doesn't like, tough on them, they should broaden their music senses a bit more, and it was requested for a reason (That a person either l;ikes the song/band or that person is sensable enough to check out different bands and music styles)...Overall, they shouldn't be so stupid Tongue

But let's see, requests!

Time Requiem - The Inner Circle of Reality
Time Requiem - Optical Illusion

Majestic - Abstract Symphony

All I can think of for now Sad

After listening to Ravenheart on the first listen, I liked it enough to get it  but after hearing it again today, I find the album to be very good and am glad I got it under the advisement of Wulfy  Cheesy

A few new album suggestions for the week:

No Gravity - Worlds In Collision

Some familiar voices on the album:

Michele Luppi (Killing Touch, Mr.Pig, Thaurorod)
Andy Kuntz (Vanden Plas)
Fabio Lione (Rhapsody Of Fire, Vision Divine)
Roberto Tiranti (Labyrinht)
Mark Basile (DGM)
Emiliano Germani (Moonlight Comedy)

Couldn't find many samples on youtube, but here is probably the most mellow tune from the album, featuring Luppi on vocals.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spIJ9RZFTF0&feature=related

The rest of the album has a much more uptempo style.

Lost In Thought - Opus Arise

Progressive Power Metal outta the UK. This album is climbing way up on my list of top albums in 2011. Really fantastic stuff.

Listen for yourself:

Dreamcatcher - SoulDesign
Well done Symphonic Power Metal:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yrobPT-WUco

Communic - The Bottom Deep

New album from Progressive Metallers. Here is a sample tune:

Surely the manic Devin Townsend deserves a place on ERR? He's 'epic', in his own peculiar way Grin

I would like to suggest some albums!

Paradise Lost: "Faith Divides Us - Death Unites Us"; "In Requiem"
Helloween: "Better Than Raw"; "Master of the Rings"; "The Time of the Oath"
Judas Priest: "Defenders of the Faith"; "Painkiller";
Savatage: "Handful of Rain"
Charon: "Songs For the Sinners"
Charred Walls of the Damned: "Cold Winds on Timeless Days"
Flowing Tears: "Thy Kingdom Gone"; "Serpentine"
Devin Townsend: "Addicted"

Thanks! I hope some of these albums will get added!

There are basically three bands I dearly miss in your database:

Morgana Lefay - Sanctified
Morgana Lefay - Grand Materia
Morgana Lefay - Secret Doctrine

Opeth - Still Life
Opeth - Ghost Reveries

King Diamond - Abigail
King Diamond - The Puppet Master

In addition to that, I would like more of

Black Sabbath
Candlemass
Virgin Steele

And though I'm new here, or maybe just because I'm new, I am a bit irritated by the discussion about the harsh vocals. While listening to ERR I noticed lots of songs with growls (Epica, Battlelore, Haggard etc. I mean, just because there's a female voice in a band, it is automatically melodic? No matter how harsh the male voice may be?), but as long as the underlying musical style is melodic/progressive, they don't really hurt. I am not keen on harsh vocals myself, but in the case of Opeth, I don't understand why they are totally banned here, since they are more progressive than most other bands and melodic and contain a good deal of clean vocals. To me Opeth is definitely not Death Metal Smiley

Also, just mentioning, since I'm obviously not the only one, if still a minority: I would be delighted to have the possibility to request more  Progressive Rock on EpicROCKRadio Wink (Spock's Beard, Porcupine Tree and the like)

That should be enough for now XD (Sorry, don't want to offend anybody, music is such a "private" thing...)

I see bands getting added, like Eluveitie, and more 'pagan'/folk-related songs.
Even though I hear many cries in the Shoutbox that Folk-metal is not really 'the thing' for ERR, I would still like to suggest the band: Heidevolk.
A dutch metal band, with folk-influences as many a scandinavian band that are already added (Stormwarrior, Alestorm, Eluveitie).

I would like to hear your likes or dislikes on this one.

I second Morgana Lefay and Porcupine Tree!
Also ERR is in desperate need of the US Power metal band by the name of Pharaoh! Their new release is superb!: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gYdr6P18HJw

METSATÍLL is a terrific folk-metal band from Estonia whose music would fit right in here. Especially their 2011 album, ULG.
