Hey Yall. My Name Is Michael, and I'm 18, going to be 19 in about a month actually. I foud EER on Kamelot's website, and have been hooked on this since. I've listened to metal pretty avidly for about 3 or so years, starting off with bands such as Kamelot, Edugy, Sonoata Artica(sp?), and Excalion. I listened to Pandora for a while, and found a new more bands that I love, most of which are played on here. I also love to listen to Van Canto, they have a really great and unique style which appeals to me. There are many more bands that I listen to, Not purly all metal, such as Skillet and Red, but there are far too many to list. I have also just recently bought Kamelot's new album, Poety for the Poisoned, and it is Amazing. Hands down.

A bit more about myself, I'm currently enrolled at the University of Texas at Dallas studying Computer Engineering, and I currently hold a job working as IT Support in a Data Center nearby.

Hope to see y'all more!

Hi, guess I can say something..

I'm from Norway, my real name is Brage (in mythology the son of Odin  Cheesy), and I am 32 years old. Have wife and daughter.
My online-name comes from my pet tarantula, a poecilotheria metallica. Beautiful creature. Unlike many that holds tarantulas I am not a collector - is very happy with just the one (so is my wife...)

I've listened mainly to metal for about 15 years. Started with Paradise Lost and Dream Theater. Many more have come along, and I'm still actively adding to the list. Favs are Avantasia, Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, Edguy, Masterplan, Mystic Prophecy and The Vision Bleak ++ the list goes on, as there's about 300 CDs in my collection right now.
Very happy I found ERR (found it at Kamelots page), a Lot of good music here, and it gives me new ideas as to what to buy.

Apart from metal I like photo, editing photos, travel, long walks in the wilderness (bouth in Norway and more exotic places - been hiking throug bouth Amazonas and jungle in Thailand), and tending my little farm. Always got things to do, usually a bit more than there is time for.

That's it for now  Smiley
Rock on, stay heavy.

Hello all, I'm Bryan for those who haven't seen me spamming the shoutbox yet.  Tongue

I am a founding member and former vocalist of Seven Kingdoms. I was listening to ERR at Camden/Sabrina's place during my girlfriend's birthday party and decided to join up!

Glad to be a part of such a friendly community. Smiley

Well I guess this should be a good firtst reply  Smiley

I am under 18 and over 10...
I don't talk much, so this will be short. Call me Nic though that's not relly my real name. I came here because, of course, I am fan of epic/symphonic metal esp. in the power metal catergory. I wish I lived in Europe [current country of obsession - Norway, was New Zealand before]. I am a hardcore Tolkien fan and also am currently on the precipice of obsession with Kamelot. Yes, that is all for the moment.

Hey y'all. I'm Evan, I'm 17. I live in snowy Minnesota where nearly everybody listens to crap pop music. I have always avoided pop, but listened to (good) country and and classic rock mostly until early September when a friend introduced me to Kamelot. Since then, I've been listening to progressive and power metal non-stop. But I've always been trying to find a good online station, and this is by far the best I've come across. My favorite bands are Kamelot, Dream Theater, Falconer, Nightwish, and Theocracy. I also have been trying to teach myself guitar, but it's not going very well so far  Undecided.

So that's me.

Also, I'm really excited for May because me and a friend are going to see Symphony X when they come to town! \m/

Since im still kinda new around here ill go ahead and formally introduce myself.

My  name is James, and i live in South Carolina, and am from Ireland.  I'm 21 and undergoing fully converting to Buddhism.  I'm currently in the national guard (have been for almost 5 years) and am going through school on and off for my associates in  psychology and criminal justice.  I LOVE all types of music, folk and GSM (gothic symphonic metal) being two of my favorites, and a few of my friends refer to me as a human ipod, due to my passion of music Tongue.  My favorite band of all time is Haggard and from the past id have to say either Scorpions  or  Creedence Clearwater Revival.

Just a little about me Smiley

Symphonic Powermetal Rules!

I think it's pretty awesome that we've got people finding us through Loudcaster / Shoutcast now, and not just Live365.  Live365 has been great to us for years, but they really need to rethink how they operate because pretty soon they'll become more trouble than they are worth for listeners who just want to click a button and hear their music.

My name is Anthony, I am 26 from Pennsylvania, USA. My first metal experience was Metallica S&M 11 years ago, I love how the Orchestra sounded along with The Heaviness of the music. Later that year I was introduced to Blind Guardian, Iced Earth, Sonata Arctica, Lacua Coil, HammerFall, DragonForce (Then DragonHeart) and Nightwish. I was hooked. I realized there was so much more to metal then the Every Day American Metal.

Well, as I'm "spamming" the shoutbox since a couple of days, I should say a few words about who I am Wink

I stumbled upon ERR just a few weeks ago via the Kamelot site on Facebook. Me and my husband (and even our daughter (3)) are totally into Progressive Rock and Metal and we love Power Metal. Our music collection is already quite respectable, but new input is always welcome Smiley

My father actually introduced me to Pink Floyd, King Crimson, Procol Harum, Emerson Lake and Palmer, etc. when I was 14. Let me see, that was 24 years ago. Only months later I listened to Metallica the first time. That sparked a subconcious quest for my perfect music, which came to an early end when I discovered a band called Morgana Lefay, a swedish Power/Thrash/Melodic...Metalband - yeah, you couldn't quite put them into any of those boxes.
I was introduced to music of numerous metal acts back then. But nothing could completely convince me as Morgana Lefay did, not even Blind Guardian or Dream Theater - maybe The 3rd And The Mortal, but they didn't have the power.
After a three years absence of Metal and Rock (rolleyes) I noticed that I truly love them and then luckily ran into who is now my husband, who showed me the door towards the Proressive music. He played Dream Theater to me and I was instantly in love. He introduced me to Marillion (both with Fish and with H), to Porcupine Tree. Step by step I learned to not hate every growly music and got me hooked to Opeth. A new journey into music had begun and will carry on until - until I die, I guess. there's so much to dicover in the world of Epic Melodic Power Progressive Metal Rock \o/

Um, what I'm doing while I listen to all that wonderful music? I'm a quite young mother, so there's loads to do around my daughter and the house.
I have a degree in architecture, but no time to work in that field atm.
I love Japan, Japanese food, arts, knitting, drawing/painting, good movies, some games. I practice Yoga. Intersted in politics.

That should do for now (few words Roll Eyes)
Best wishes from Germany to all of you here Cheesy

Hello friends. I discovered ERR (through Reddit's r/PowerMetal) only like a week ago. But it is great. You guys play all my favorite bands and no crap. Perfect.

My name is Blake and I'm 20, turning 21 next month. I live in Alberta, Canada, so power metal and stuff isn't really popular around here. I go to every band that comes through this way, though. Love seeing these bands live! The last show I went to was Iced Earth and Symphony X. It was awesome!

I'm an apprentice in a small town working to become an electrician. I can't listen to ERR at work but I spend all my off time during the week listening to music. It doesn't matter what I'm doing, be it drinking beers, getting creative and drawing art, or playing video games - the music is on. And it's usually loud as hell. One of the only times the music is off, is when the hockey game is on. I listen to significantly less music during playoff season.

I grew up on the classic rock tunes because of my father. In grade 4 my favorite band was the Beatles, then later on Led Zeppelin and the Who. By around grade 8 I was a diehard Maiden fan. But in high school I discovered some of the better known power metal bands like HammerFall, Axenstar, Sonata Arctica, Blind Guardian, and Angra. Fell in love with this stuff. I haven't looked back since. I love how I can tune in to ERR and hear some of my favorite tunes playing, or bands that I haven't discovered that are completely new to me.

I'd have to say my favorite band of all time would be Edguy. Tobi can wail like no other. But I love it all - Sonata Arctica, Iced Earth, Týr, Falconer, and Blind Guardian are a few of my favorites. Of course, the list is too long to name 'em all. I'm sure you guys can relate.

I have a feeling I'll start getting fairly active on this site if I'm gonna be listening constantly. So, nice to meet you all. I'm Blake, a beer-drinking, hockey-playing metalhead.
