Well, looks like you guys don't have new blood since 14 March 2011 so I decided to stop by and say hello Cheesy

My quest to find ERR first started long ago when I started to be sick of all the pop music on the radios. I understand why radios only play pop and general rock (at best) - it's what most people like to hear and it's the one thing that gives them profit and money. I've been in several studies for pop musics and after the 6th try it kinda became obvious (the user tests made by them also get boring after some time lol).
Anyway, after that I decided to start listening to a 80s music radio (playing music from 70-80-90). That was my main radio for a long time. There I met some great masters of rock like "Dio", "Black Sabbath", and good old classics like "Eye of the Tigger" (we all remember this one right?). However, after a few months I concluded that radio was not metal enough for me, so I decided to search on the internet for rock radios. I found a few symphonic rock radios and so far this is the one I like the most.

Hope you liked my super common story !
(PS: I still think we don't get enough oldies ... like "Holy Diver", but that's my opinion Tongue )

Hi everyone,

I'm Sarah, 25, from sunny England. Damnation Angels pointed me here!  Grin

Since I started listening a couple of weeks ago I've ended up buying several new albums (Beyond the Bridge, Krypteria, Powerwolf, Xandria, Amberian Dawn, LORD), so a big thanks for introducing me to some great new music!

Welcome, Fl4m3Ph03n1x & Nozzi!  I've said this before, but, you've come to the right place.  :-)

Nozzi, great to hear that Damnation Angels sent you here.  :-)

Mark my words...  I'm here to tell you, as long as Damnation Angels stays together, they are going to become one of the HUGE names in the symphonic metal scene.  Big like Kamelot, Sonata Arctica, and Nightwish.  Trust me on this one.  We literally get sent hundreds of debut albums looking for airplay every year.  None of them, ever, has been as good as Bringer of Light.

I swore not to do an introduction but I guess if am going to hang around I’d better, I don’t like the anonymous thing myself.  Well my name is Nathalie and am from Switzerland and am an old rock girl  Shocked.   To tell you the truth I thought I’d leave after the couple of weeks realising how young everyone was, I didn’t want to pass for a weirdo "hanging out" with students  Wink and then found that it was rather nice being here.

My music genres include, but not limited to, (you’ll be wondering what the hell am doing here) primarily,  classic rock, classic metal/hard rock, prog rock, THEN hair metal, power metal , some thrash, some folk, some prog, but am afraid symphonic metal is not really my thing and don’t think I’ll get into Kami as you call them.  But my number one band would probably be Pink Floyd and the rest following closely, Sabbath, anything to do with Dio, Deep Purple, Maiden, Scorpions and loads more but also Megadeth, Metallica etc…  Am very fussy about my music and hate loads of stuff in the various metal genres.

I actually discovered new good stuff  here, for example I discovered the Lord of Mushrooms purely by selecting the band for a request because of its name and wondered where they had been all my life, bought two albums since, the name is soooooooooooooo me, oh yeah of course am into the 60’s psychedelic stuff too although I don’t listen to it much anymore.  And Vuurbos introduced me to Iron Fire and I quite like these guys, got one album straight away too and may get another one but will play each song here first from it.  Well I suppose I am here more for the chat than the playlist when listening to music and not doing anything else with my hands (except Saturdays/holidays when I have a glass of something in one hand) even if I may listen to something else some of the time it’s like having company (other than my husband that is, I mean after 20 years you run out of stuff to say  Grin

About me other than music, I love fine food and champagne and bears, and am completely nuts about panda bears, so just humour me when I start posting panda pics Cheesy, in fact I stalk them on a couple of pandacams.  Am also a bit of a party animal, and as it's difficult to find the right club anywhere, I decided to turn my garage at my holiday place into a priate bar/discotheque. Shocked

Many of us here are not "young"  at all  Tongue it largely depends what time of the day you're around as to who else is. Grin

Hello Everyone!

My name is Aldwin. I'm only 15 years old Smiley). I'm from Philippines. I'm at 4th Year Highschool and planning to become an I.T.. Symphonic, Progressive and Power Metal Bands are my interests. I'm best at MMORPG and DotA =). I have a Youtube channel that creates videos about gaming, and some song lyrics.

I've been listening to ERR for about 1 month and 3 weeks from now. I love symphonic metal coz its like a little orchestral and has a soothing sound. I've been looking for a radio that has symphonic metal for a long time and bingo! I have found ERR. My favorite bands are Rhapsody of Fire, Luca Turilli, Angra, Damnation Angels, DragonForce, Masterplan, Heavenly, Warmen, Nightwish and Within Temptation. I discovered many awesome bands coz of ERR like Kamelot, Iron Maiden, Dream Theater Sonata Artica and many more!

For me music is essential to my life. Without it, I might die. That's all I can introduce, thank you for passing by..

Hello everyone. Thought I would post here since I have been listening and enjoying ERR for probably well over a year now. I can't remember how I originally found the station, I think from shoutcast maybe. Or searching internet radio stations at work trying to find something better than Pandora to get me through the work day.

Well anyway my username is Booey, my real name is Jackie. I'm 31 years old and live in Virginia, USA. I've been a metal fan probably since late teens. Growing up in a small town in Pennsylvania all there really was to listen to was country music so that's what I was in to, until I saw the light! Started with Metallica I think, and Iron Maiden of course, and hair/glam bands. Then my older brother introduced me to symphonic & power metal with Nightwish and Blind Guardian (now two of my top favorite bands), and also to prog like Dream Theater. Now I just very much enjoy finding new bands and sounds, there is always something different to find. That's what I really like about ERR is that it has such a huge catalog every day I am finding something new and it's freakin awesome!

Metal, and also music in general (if it is good!), to me is like something that feeds my soul. I can't tell you how many times I have been down and all that kept me going was a song. There is nothing like being a part of a crowd at a show everyone singing with the song, it is like being a part of something greater than yourself. Or finding that song that you can listen to 50 times in a row and not be tired of it, or EPIC 12 minute long songs :-) . Especially lately it has been something to help me through life- the day after I bought the new Nightwish album my father passed away unexpectedly. Listening to the new album ended up being something that helped me not come completely apart, because it was a connection to something normal when it was feeling like nothing would ever be the same again.

Well not to close on a depressing note, Nightwish is also there for the good times too, my husband and I's first dance at our wedding was to The Islander. There ending with something happy! Thank you ERR for being so awesome, I hope to be able to keep listening for a long time and maybe chatting with some of you in the shout box. Up the Irons!

Hello everyone, I just registered hoping to share my love for progressive rock!!!  Wish I was musically talented, but my keyboard of 3 years is sitting idle due my lack of determination. Sad   I really admire those of you who have spent the time to learn and progress in your musicianship.

Love listening to this radio network, I found it on my new phone through the mobile app Tunein.  I just discovered the great band Voyager and heard it on this station, so thought I'd post a quick intro saying how much I love this type of music.  Keep it coming!!!!
