The song "The Man Who Saw Through Time" is missing on the new Threshold. That is the best track, so hope it gets fixed!

New chat is really solid!

The only "glitch" I had was that Ghostery (social media/adware filter browser plugin) blocks it by default. Once I whitelisted ERR, it was fixed.

The new Ayreon is fantastic, ERR-worthy greatness

The new Alestorm is good stuff *yarrr*

Most (but not all) original icons have returned. I request the following tweaks:
  • currently *guitar* renders as (keyboard guy), I think that icon was originally coded as *keys*
  • Lets trade "giant pirate head guy" for the often-needed running unicorn, Gloryhammer songs beg for it  Grin

As far as i can see, the iShoutbox is working quite nicely. I don't have any complaints about it, apart from what has already been posted here (most notably not being able to see who's online) so I think it's an excellent replacement.

I think it is good enough to keep the current chat solution as-is. I would love to see the enhancements made, like the "current members" feature, but I do like the additional capabilities it gave us.

Slack provides an API for building your own client/integrated window. I am short on free time lately, so not really feeling it.

EDIT: I am also growing to like the moving text, blinking text, when used tactfully. It was one thing to have a "dragon", "wolf" icons, but being able to have then chase (or be chased) is absolutely hilarious Cheesy

Pros:
customized name handles are kind of cool, reminds me of my Quake days
EDIT: I am digging some of the additional text properties (spoiler tags, bold, italic, underline, strikethrough, Marker, colors)
EDIT: reference specific chat entries should be useful

Cons:
missing emoticons (I know that is just a matter of re-adding)
unable to navigate in past chat history, or easily anyway
EDIT: some additional text properties need to be disabled (blinking text, moving text)

I would propose some sort of integration with the "slack" chat service if possible. We use it at work and I think it is the best of all implementations out there. I don't know if they support embedded webpage presence, but if they do I volunteer to get that working here.

Friends don't let friends interrupt Octavarium...

I know that Vlammie is having some issues with Sonixcast at 2 places she sometimes works at, so for her sake i'd say keep it a while.
As for me, I don't mind dropping it. Sonixcast seems a lot more stable.  Grin

I find it very odd that only "some" places in a region are blocked. Do we know if that is a matter of the country Vlammie living in being blocked, or her workplace having some sort of website firewall in place that blocks some time-wasting sites? For instance I know many people have to deal with having youtube blocked at work, but that is due to the workplace's IT, and not youtube's.

Another grievance to note with Radionomy and the 2 minute ad slots is that SAM will almost certainly butcher a "long-song" request. It has happened to me a few times already, and I just saw that it burned DarkSoul's Octavarium request.

IMO one of the great things of internet radio is that it is not OTA broadcast radio, allowing for less traditional "long-songs" that would never get airplay anywhere else. We need to hear our occasional "Octavarium", "The Odyssey", and so on.

Kill it with fire.

Who is getting blocked by Sonixcast though, are they pulling the same region restrictions radionomy is but for different countries?

"Enermy Within"
 (2010) Yngwie Malmsteen - Relentless

Should say "Enemy Within". Also, the song features Tim "Ripper" Owens so maybe that should be included.

I think most Queensryche fans are over Geoff Tate  Wink

You better try again, this problem is NOT fixed.

SAM just chopped off the final 4 1/2 minute's of Angra's Carolina IV because the song got to a soft section. Right when the song got to a few seconds past 6 minutes the next song barged right in. This Angra song does briefly slow down at that section, but it is the build up before an epic comeback and guitar solo.

I don't think this song ending auto-detect feature is compatible with ERR's music library.

Did someone tinker with the crossfade between song transitions? It seems like in the last week or so the final 10-15 seconds of a song are getting clipped by the next song, very annoying  Angry
