Hey dudes

so as per topic, what happened to it? I really used to like that as I became so familiar with an album that Id know for sure if I wanted to buy it or not.

Anyone else miss AOTW?

Yeah, we haven't done that in a long time, have we....

It's my fault - My studio microphone died and I haven't gone and gotten a new one.  Trying to record sweepers and album of the week announcements with the cheap built-in microphone is an excercise in futility.  I'll go get another mic and get back on it.

Speaking of that - I'd like to hear what album(s) you all would like to have featured as Album of the Week.  Let me know!

haha so that was you saying all the cool sweepers?

Any album is fine, perhaps choose one that people might from a new bunch of cds you get in, I mean there are a bunch of bands I havent really heard of that are doing the rounds on ERR.

no pressure dude, any time is cool!

You know what....  I think I'm going to hold a contest.

Email me 128 bit stereo MP3's or WAVs of you introducing the album that you want to be Album of the Week.  I'll pick the best one and use it as the intro.

Wink  I remember when that album was on rotation at AOTW, a song was played atleast once and hour it was getting to be a bit much.  Never really got into it then, guess I should look into it again eh!

I should record a sweeper in the highest pitched voice I can muster up and send it in Grin

Haaah, hah....

Yeah, we kind of dropped the AOtW thing because I got a lot of mails from users who thought hearing the same band every hour or even every two hours was too much, especially for a whole week.  So, we kind of dropped the idea.  Besides, I only got two entries sent to me for the Intro Track Contest ... Obviously nobody really cared about it.  :-(

thats true. It was great when it was The Black Halo, every song rocked, but I can imagine some people wouldnt like to hear the same song every couple of hours for a whole week, especially if they dont like that particular artist  Embarrassed
