It's the second straight day that we haven't been listed in Live365's directory.  You can still get the stream to play on Live365 by clicking our direct link, but if you search for us or look at the top stations under Metal, we don't show up.  I finally got it fixed just now, but in order to do that I had to kick off everyone who was listening on Live365 at the time.  What a joke.

This kind of crap has been going on for a few months - VIPs reporting that they cannot connect, vanishing from the directory, the stream going offline and needing me to reset the broadcast on the Live365 server to get it started again...  It's really beginning to piss me off.  More than beginning.  I pay those bastards $1500 a year for their service, and it's always broken and the support staff never (and I do literally mean NEVER) answers their emails.  Seriously, we've been broadcasting at Live365 for at least four years, maybe, more, and I have seriously never gotten a response to any of my technical support requests.  The only time I've ever gotten help was by posting on the forums and having other broadcasters reply.

I have a certain degree of loyalty to Live365 because they were the first company to offer a feasible method to allow a hobbyist broadcaster to have their own radio station, back when nobody else was doing it.  The problem is, they are sitting in their laurels.  There is competition now, like Loudcaster for example, with staff that actually answers questions and actively participates and interacts with his broadcasters...  Loudcaster is still behind Live365 with regard to the way the website is put together, but it's the music that matters most.

Plus, Loudcaster is a heck of a lot more popular than I thought....

22 thousand TLH from Live365, and just shy of 49 thousand TLH from Loudcaster?  That's a really wide margin, ladies and gentlemen.  Really, really wide.

I'll speak with Brandon and find out of those numbers are really accurate or not....  It seems hard to believe considering our broadcast cap is pretty low at Loudcaster.  We'll see.

I'm sorry to hear that, it sucks that you put that much money into having the station being broadcasted there only not to have them actively engage in tech support and consistency.  I know a few days ago while i was in chat box a couple people said live365 wasn't working for them at all, i myself am a consistent lc listener so i myself can't really comment on my use of the station.  Either way i hope it gets sorted out for you.

lLive365 is not available again today. Starting to piss me off too. In addition to the $$ you pay them, we (VIPs) pay them tool. EER is the only station I listen to so if Live365 isnt' going to allow me to do that, I might as well drop my sub to them and just send ERR the money.

FWIW, LoudCaster has a better quality. Live365 seems "flat" compared to LC which has a much fuller sound. Even in SD.

Since Loudcaster became available to listen to the station on, I haven't touched the Live365 feed at all. Crap adverts have always plagued the broadcast of that (probably because I'm not a VIP) whereas Loudcaster doesn't have any problems, and it loads up a lot quicker as well. I personally say - if you can Kailef - get rid of Live365 and stick with Loudcaster, or something that is equivalently better.

I can't figure out what you guys are talking about with LoudCaster.  I listen to Live365 in Winamp.  It's ALWAYS on (I never have to wait for a slot to open on Winamp and I don't have a VIP account), I never hear any advertisements, it's always synced up with what the site says is playing, and it sounds better than LoudCaster (owing to the fact that it has a higher bitrate).

I used to have ERR in Winamp too, but suddenly it quit working, telling me I had to log in (to listen to the stupid commercials, no doubt). I also love Loudcaster myself.
